The server could be a little friendlier, especially with repeat visitors.

Definitely the best Chinese food in Toledo. Some of the most delicious food I've ever eaten! The hot and spicy chicken is tremendous, the potstickers are the best I've eaten anywhere, the lettuce wrap is delicious, the spicy wings are so yummy! I have a very difficult time deciding what to order since everything is so good ... garlic chicken, chicken with string beans, crispy beef, orange chicken, chicken with mixed vegetables, any of the lo mein, the wonton soup ... all perfection. My son always orders the beef pho with the tendon and tripe ... it is his favorite soup anywhere! My feelings would be hurt that he likes it more than my homemade soups, but I've tried it and it's tough to argue that it's not delicious .... spicy, rich, and savory! Do not let the fact that this restaurant is small and non descript on the outside stop you from going in and having the best Chinese meal ever! The service is always friendly, the food is always delicious, and the price is always right!

Wei Wei has decent food, however they get docked one star due to the following:I ordered crispy shrimp as an appetizer. I was quite surprise to see "cocktail sauce" served with this dish at a Chinese Restaurant. C'mon, this isn't Long John Silvers! Completely unacceptable. The owner explained that this is how people like them. Well if that is the case Toledo, then go to Red Lobster and get your basic popcorn shrimp dipped in horsey-ketchup. This is an Asian establishment! Give Wei Wei a little bit more credit and respect! At any rate, the owner provided me with a house soy-ginger sauce, which was far more appropriate for the venue. Aside from that, my service and entrée were excellent.

Pho! This is the 3rd place I have tried pho in the Toledo area and was pretty pleased with my experience. It's a "hole in the wall" restaurant known for their Chinese food so don't judge the restaurant by its storefront, nor decor inside. With a few wooden tables and booths, it's not the most fabulous place to have dinner and drinks with the girlfriends. But they do have great pho! Staff was extremely friendly, hospitable and accommodating. Definitely a place I see myself dining at frequently this winter. Tried the Pho Special and ate...all of it....which doesn't always happen. Also tried the crab rangoons which hit the spot. Will definitely have to return to try their pan-fried noodles. And bubble tea! (Yes! They have it!)

I miss the owners of this restaurant. Their food was amazing, spectacular just so much like home. They have a traditional way of cooking. My fiance still says they have the best Pho Ga he's ever had. I couldn't find one thing on the menu that wasn't good. Sometime's I wish I was still in college so I could be in Toledo and eat at Wei Wei's every weekend!

Wei Wei, for my money, has emerged as Toledo's foremost Chinese restaurant, though, they aren't limited to just that. Vietnamese, Thai, and maybe Korean all make tasty appearances on the menu. The hot & sour soup is the best in Toledo, and the number of delicious entrees are too many to list. The chicken with black bean sauce is fantastic, the pho is excellent, the orange chicken, general tso's, green chicken curry - all amazing. But, my favorite is the Singapore Mi Fun (sp?), an amazing heaped noodle dish with thin noodles, lots of fresh veggies, and tossed shrimp, pork, and chicken.Wei Wei also offers two kinds if chicken wings. Forget what you know about chicken wings, these are going to blow your mind. Seriously, they're excellent.Do yourself a favor and get to Wei Wei as soon as you can. In terms of atmosphere, they continue to remodel and it only gets better each time. The place is looking fantastic.

Okay, Wei Wei is now officially my favorite Chinese restaurant in Toledo. As other reviewers stated, don't let the outside put you off. The inside is clean and tidy, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The food at Wei Wei's is amazing! On this visit I tried the Wei Wei Special with fish. It was cooked in a spicy sauce and served in a huge bowl with bok choy and a mixture of fresh herbs. Scrumptious!

This place is the real deal. Mike, the chef, knows his stuff. My favorite is the mei fun noodles with shrimp. Get it spicy or ask for chili sauce. So glad it re-opened after a remodel and new patio. It's a family run place so Mike and his wife are always there as well as their children. It doesn't bother us - introduce yourself and get to know the family. If you're feeling adventurous ask Mike for his recos and he'll hook you up.

Food is just delicious. Tasty, generous, and surprising variety. Hospitality is simply exceptional. I dined with a friend who does not use vision, and Wei Wei staff exceeded our expectations: Respectful, helpful, and dignified. I wish I came here sooner!

Ate here for the first time today. The outside is definitely nothing to look at but the food was great. My family ordered general tso's, mongolian delight, beef lo mein, a spring roll, and potstickers. Everything was awesome. The potstickers were the best I had ever had. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant actually played chinese music! Would definitely eat here again. One of the best chinese restaurants I've ever been to!

Except for one thing, I love Wei-Wei. The service is friendly and the menu extemely diverse, and almost everything I've ever had there has tasted great. However, I won't eat there ever again. I was diagnosed with Celiac six months ago, and have been "glutened" at Wei-Wei twice now, from dishes the waitress thought would have no wheat and no soy sauce (contains wheat) in them. The pho beef soup contains gluten; I ELISA-tested it after eating there the last time. :-(

After 10 years in NYC with access to all different kinds of Chinese food, it's such a fresh breath of air to have Wei Wei in my hometown of Toledo, OH.Not only are there very special and tasty Vietnamese and Thai favorites on this diverse menu, you can order from the authentic Chinese menu to satisfy your cravings for something truly special. The food is stupendous, the portions are HUGE and it's all meant to be shared. They're not afraid to make any dish super-spicy and will gladly educate you if you have any questions. I love the hot and sour soup and fish with ginger and scallions! I have also had the spicy chicken feet and the Pho!!!However...my favorite thing about Wei Wei is the service and the sincerely amazing people who keep this place running. Sherri is a darling and watching her children grow up has been a treat over the years. This is the reason to go out to dinner!!!! At Wei Wei, EVERYONE is treated like family. It's the reason MY entire family spends the night before Thanksgiving at this restaurant year after year.I look forward to having many more meals there and recommend this place to anyone as THE BEST CHINESE in the 419!!!! Seriously, give it a try!!! You won't regret!
